Privacy

Scrutinel is a statistical forecast published as a set of static files. It has no accounts, no logins, no newsletter and no comment section, and it asks you for nothing. It does carry third-party analytics and advertising tags, and this page says exactly what those do.

What this site collects directly

Nothing. There is no server-side application, no database of visitors and no form to submit. Every page is prerendered ahead of time and served as a file. We do not set cookies of our own, and we never receive your name, email address or any other identifying detail unless you choose to write to us.

Third-party services

Google Analytics 4

Used to count visits and see which pages are read. It sets cookies to recognise a returning browser and collects the usual web-analytics fields: pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, referring site, device and browser type. IP anonymisation is enabled (anonymize_ip), so the address is truncated before it is stored. The measurement ID in use is G-C05CTH8L04. We see aggregate reports only — never a list of individuals.

Google AdSense

Used to show advertising. Google and its partners may set cookies or read existing ones to select and measure ads, and to limit how often you see the same one. Our publisher ID is ca-pub-6135116012378210. We do not select the ads, we are not given the data Google uses to select them, and we receive only aggregate performance figures.

Google’s own description of how it uses information from sites that use its services is at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can turn off personalised advertising at adssettings.google.com, and manage cookies from more than one vendor at optout.aboutads.info.

Consent

The site implements Google Consent Mode v2. For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, analytics and advertising storage start in a denied state, and the tags run in a restricted mode that sets no identifying cookies until consent is given through the prompt. Elsewhere they start granted, which is the ordinary standard in those jurisdictions. You can change your choice at any time by clearing this site’s cookies, which makes the prompt appear again.

Blocking cookies, using private browsing, or running an ad or tracker blocker will not break anything here. The forecast is baked into the page itself rather than fetched, so it renders identically with every third-party script blocked.

Data we hold, and for how long

None that we control. Analytics and advertising records live with Google under its own retention schedules, not ours. Because we hold nothing keyed to you, there is nothing for us to export or delete on request — those requests go to Google. If you email us, we keep that email until it is no longer useful and use it only to reply.

Children

This site is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect anything from them.

Changes

If the tags on this site change, this page changes with them. It is versioned in the same public repository as the rest of the site, so its history is inspectable.
